Abstract:
The abbreviation RFID originated from the English words Radio Frequency Identification and is currently one of the most emerging technologies , designed to identify and locate people , objects or data collection. The beginnings of the development of RFID technology interfere until the second half of the last century, when in 1935 the Scottish physicist Sir Robert Watson – Watt built the first practical instrument designed to detect radio aircraft that operates on the principle of microwaves. The real beginning of the RFID technology , however, was 1970 , when he lets Mario Cardullo patent for a passive transponder with memory and other functions typical for RFID systems . Based on this discovery brings the 1973 U.S. Alamos Scientific Laboratory first real RFID chip and this trend in the seventies involved in the development of a number of other major companies such as IBM , Comserv and Fairchild . Further development of the RFID system was gradual and took place in the laboratory , where they were carried out scientific research and experimental activities aimed at developing and enhancing the potential utility of RFID technology , which occurred subsequent to the advances in microprocessors and communication networks. Currently, radio frequency identification systems successfully applied in many industries and areas. Looking ahead, we can assume that RFID technology will dominate in the identification of persons , property and is likely to replace today a preferred barcodes , or integrating the various systems.
