Abstract:

The thesis is focused on application of RFID technology in the automotive industry. In the first part I describe the RFID technology, history, and components that are necessary to implement the system. The second part is focused on hardware components with a detailed description and principle of operation. Then I describe the software components required for data processing. The fourth chapter outlines the development of identification technology, together with a detailed description method of identification via barcodes and RFID in the logistics chain. This chapter is also an evaluation of both the technologies and analysis of the potential application of RFID technology in the life cycle of an automobile. The conclusion is done by demonstration of RFID applications in the automotive industry implemented in an RFID laboratory.
