Abstract:
This diploma thesis describes the design and development of a model of a system for monitoring accidents on steam pipes. The primary impulse for the development of this model came from a company involved in the manufacture of pre-insulated steam pipe. The system is primarily focused on monitoring pipe joints, where 98% of all accidents happen. The first chapter deals with the current issues of detection of accidents on the steam pipe. The following chapter deals with the technical design of the system. The following chapters describe the initial tests that preceded the development of a model of the system, the resulting model, its evaluation and subsequent potential of using this system in practice. In conclusion, the results are evaluated and potential further utilizations of the system are suggested.
