This diploma thesis discusses and analyses possible solutions for the evidence and storing of tyres in MS Auto company. The first part introduces an automatic identification technologies and its particular elements with the emphasis on its optical methods, and also presents the procedures commonly applied in this area. The scope of the next chapter is the database system, its design process and moreover the division and utilisation of the data base model. Afterwards, this diploma thesis analyses and reports how the company MS Auto files and stores its tyres in these days. The final part suggests possible solutions for the company, taking the advantage of using an automatic identification and database system. In the end, the special software application was created to verify whether this concept for MS Auto is both operational and useful.
